The Win to Vend contest is open to U.S. residents never featured at An Affair of the Heart. Potential vendors must be 18 years or older or have a parent/guardian present during all show hours. The contest is open to craftsmen/vendors potentially selling handmade, repurposed, recycled or homemade goods. No resellers, food or marketplace vendors. An Affair of the Heart Conway will begin accepting photos and applications on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 through online entries. The deadline to submit an application and photos is Friday, March 3, 2017.

Entrants must fill out the jury application located HERE. As instructed on the application, entrants must also submit one to two photos of products for posting/promotion through social media sites and/or the An Affair of the Heart associated website(s). The application for the Win to Vend contest must be complete upon submission – do not send to the show office or submit elsewhere. Photos then become the property of An Affair of the Heart and may be used in promotional materials. This contest is only open to crafters and artisans who have never shown at AAOTH before. If a vendor/artisan has applied and been accepted or put on a wait list to the show, this vendor is ineligible for the Win to Vend contest.

Show owners/promoters will narrow down entrants based on quality of goods, appropriateness of booth, handmade factors and more. Maximum of two photos per entrant. The amount of finalists will be determined based on number of entrants and quality/appropriateness of entrants. An Affair of the Heart reserves the right to dismiss a photo/entrant for any reason. It’s recommended to submit photos that represent your products in the best way possible. THE PHOTO IS THE ONLY REPRESENTATION OF YOUR BOOTH/PRODUCTS VOTERS WILL SEE. HIGH QUALITY, FOCUSED AND WELL-LIT PHOTOS HELP.

The deadline to submit applications/photos is 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017. Finalists will be chosen, and finalists will be posted into a Facebook photo album on the Heart of Conway’s Facebook page. The “like” button will be used for voting. Photos will be added by Sunday, March 5 and voting will be open from Sunday, March 5 to Sunday, March 12, 2017. One winner will be chosen based on votes through Facebook. The photo in the contest photo album with the most LIKES will be named the winner. Only LIKES accumulated on the finalist photos in the 2017 Win to Vend Finalists album on the Heart of Conway’s Facebook page will be counted as votes (LIKES on shared links/posts do not count.) Finalists may share the album and photo as many times as desired to gain votes, but only LIKES on the photos in the actual finalists’ album on the Facebook page will be counted. Grand prize is an interior 10-foot by 10-foot booth space at the April 7-9, 2017 An Affair of the Heart Conway show at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds in Conway, Ark. (travel expenses NOT included.) We expect more than 4,000 shoppers to visit the show over three days; entrants must be prepared to stock an appropriate amount of goods for a craft show this size.

Repeat of dates: Applications and entrant photos are accepted from Thursday, Feb. 23 – Friday, March 3, 2017. Finalists will be published on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Voting by fans takes place March 5 – March 12, 2017. A winner will be announced Monday, March 13, 2017. The winner will be contacted via email and announced through social media channels. If the winner does not feel they can participate and tells show owners by March 17, 2017, the second place winner will be contacted.
