Five Questions with Annie and Brien Kirkpatrick

How long have you been making wood furniture and how did you get started?
We have been making cutting boards for almost four years now, we have been making our larger pieces – tables, islands and countertops – for about two years.

How long does a typical piece take you to make?
It usually takes us a week to two weeks of building for a larger piece.

What would you like people to know about your craft?
I always hope that people see the passion that we put into each piece. These aren’t mass-produced pieces. We hand select each piece to make a very specific design in our finished product. We strive to be unique in everything that we do.

What is your best-selling item?
Our best-selling item has got to be our butcher blocks. Because we strive to bring something different than a run of the mill cutting board, customers really respond to that.

What do you look forward to most about doing shows?
We enjoy meeting customers, fellow artists and vendors. We Traveling, going to a new place and making new friends every few weeks is awesome. It’s something new all the time.
